Before beginning this Tutorial, you will need to download the Free Photo Filter Program.  You'll find the link on the Helpful Info Page.

I've used photo filter to crop, resize, adjust the color, frame and add text to one of my photos. In this tutorial, I will show you step by step how this was done.   Please click on any of the pictures, called 'screenshots' to enlarge it. You'll be able to see the details better that way.


Selecting and Cropping Your Photo


1.  Download and Open the program.  Click 'Files' and 'Open.'

2.  Navigate on your computer to the location where the photo you want to edit is located.

3. Double click on the file and the photo will open in the main work space of the Photo Filter Program.

4. Click 'Selection' at the top of your screen, and click on 'Select All.'  You will then see marching ants all around the photo.

5. Click on 'Image.' Then click on 'Crop.'

6.  Left click and hold the button down as you drag a box around the area of the photo that you want to crop. Release the left mouse button.

7.  Once again, choose 'Image' and 'Crop' from the menu at the top of your screen.

8.  When you double click on the 'Crop' selection above, your photo will be cropped to the size indicated by the box you dragged out.
