Add A Border

16.  Click on Filter as shown by the curser in this screen shot.

17.  Now Click Frame, and then Simple frame from the nested drop-down menus that appear.

18.  Click on Color and a Color grid appears. choose the color from the web safe shades that appear in this box.   Set the width of your border as well.  A 10 -15 px width works well on a photo that is 400 X 600 px in size.  You can now either choose to preview what you've done or apply it.

19.   You can also set the opacity of the frame.  A setting of 100 will make the frame appear as a solid color border. At 0 it will be invisible.  At 50, you'll be able to see the bear through the border.  Click preview.  Like it?  Then click OK.

20. Time to Save your work.  Click File, and choose Save As.   Always choose SAVE AS. This way, your newly edited photo will be saved as a new image, preserving your original photo.  You may wish to do something different with your original photo later.  If you choose SAVE, you will overwrite your original with the new image.

21.  Choose a location at the top of the dialog box to save your photo in.  Choose a name for your picture.  Choose a file format. Jpg is the most popular.  Click SAVE.  Your image will now be saved to the location you have chosen.    On the next page we'll add some text to the picture.
