Add Text to Your Photo

21.  Either use the photo that you still have in your Photo Filter work area, or open a new photo as shown in steps 1 and 2 of this tutorial.

22.  Double click on the TEXT icon as shown in this screen shot.

23.  A text dialog box appears.  First, choose your Font.  Next, choose your Color.  Next choose the alignment. I've chosen Centered.  I would also like the text to appear in BOLD, so I've checked that off as well.  Now type your text in the text input form.  A preview appears on the right.  Change the text, font and color as you see fit.

24.  When you are happy with the text, click OK.

25. Your text will appear on your photo inside a dashed line.  Hold your mouse over the line and it turns into a double  sided arrow.  When you see that arrow, hold down your left mouse button to drag the text where you want it.  Drag both the top and bottom of the box separately so the text does not become distorted.

26.  When you are happy with your text, Right click inside the dashed line of the text box.  A dialog box appears.  If you click Validate text, the dashed line will disappear.  Click Undo Text to start over.

27.  Save your new photo as either a new image using SAVE AS or overwrite the original using SAVE from the FILE dropdown menu.

That's it!  You've now got a great photo suitable for an online display in a gallery, or scrapbook!
